NAOSNP President, Oki Samson wins Resourceful Journalist of the Year, Urges Pressmen not to ‘Damage Fabric of Society’ • Dedicate Award Honour To Members.

The Publisher of Trek Africa Newspaper, Comrade Oki Samson has been conferred with the Award for the Resourceful and Innovative Journalist of Year 2022 by Prestige International Magazine, organizers of the Prestige Excellence Award. The award was presented to the young media chief on Sunday 27th November, 2022 at Presken Hotel, Allen, Ikeja, Lagos by the Head of Taskforce and Enforcement, Nigerian Shipping Council, Alhaji Mohammed Malgwi on behalf of the organizer of the award.

While receiving the Award, Oki who doubles as the President of National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) expressed his appreciation to the organizers for counting him worthy for the accolade. He used the opportunity to charge journalists to ‘shun fake news and unverified reports which could damage the fabric of society‘ adding that members of the 4th estate of the realm ‘are critical stakeholders in charting peaceful and stable socioeconomic development of Nigeria‘. He then dedicated the award to members of NAOSNP and the team at Trek Africa Newspaper.
