Scroll Report is an online general interest publication. Our mission is to expand the frontiers of responsible journalism through credible, accurate and balanced stories.
Scroll Report is published by Janet Mba Afolabi, CNN award-winning journalist, Public Affairs analyst, media trainer and FRSC celebrity special marshal.
She began her journalism career in Newswatch in the early ’90s and later joined Tell magazine as an Assistant Editor. In 2001 she co-founded Insider magazine with other senior editors of Tell magazine. Mba Afolabi left Insider and established Scroll Nigeria weekly news magazine in 2007. The magazine published award-winning stories. For instance, in November 2011, Scroll emerged a winner for the MKO Abiola Sports Category in the prestigious Nigeria Media Merit Award, NMMA. The magazine’s story on two school children, Favor and Marvel Midalah, who were allegedly kidnapped by the wife of former Naval Chief, attracted international attention and earned the boys a scholarship. Following the impact the story made, Mba Afolabi was honored as an International Ambassador for Peace by the United Nations/Universal Peace Federation.
Service to humanity is also part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, we scholarships to out of school children from the orphanage and poor communities.
