ARMY RAISES ALARM OVER ALLEGED MASS KILLINGS IN PLATEAU

The Nigerian Army has yesterday raised an alarm, over faked video clips allegedly depicting mass killings in Plateau state. It warned unsuspecting general public, to disregard the fake news being circulated during the current security situation in the state. According to Nigerian Army twitter handle on Saturday, the video was however shot in 2011, 17 years before the re-current insecurity to lives and property in some parts of Plateau. “The video in circulation is a fake one,” the Army lamented in its twitter handle. Continuing, it added: “The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a video released by enemies of the State and mischievous persons purported to convey the present security situation in Plateau State. “For clarity, the said video was originally released by #France24 on 14 Jan 2011.” The Army advised the public to disregard the video, assuring that modalities are emplaced to ensure people’s lives and property not only in Plateau but the entire country.
