Some Police Officers, on Thursday, attacked Nigerians and fired tear gas at the Lekki Tollgate, as the memorial procession to mark the second anniversary of the Lekki Massacre, was in progress.

Thursday, 20 October, 2022 made it exactly two years since the entire nation was thrown into lamentation following shootings at Lekki Tollgate, which was allegedly carried out by the Nigerian Army to stop the youths protesting against police brutality in the country.

Several people, including Amnesty International, alleged that officers of the Nigerian Army shot at the protesters, but was denied by the Federal Government of Nigeria and Lagos State.

Unperturbed by the threats and denials, the youths returned to the same venue to commemorate the sad event.

Rights activist and ‘Coconut Head’ Crooner, Rinu Oduala, took to her Twitter handle, @SavvyRiny, to share a video clip of the Police Officers harassing the peaceful protesters.

“Cowards @policeng! This is what you know how to do best?

“Teargas us but you won’t stop us from remembering the people you killed!

“We will still come out every time to show that people didn’t die in vain! EndSARSMemorial2″
