NAF fighter Jet, Destroys Terrorists’ Camps, Kills Dozens Of Insurgents In Borno

The Nigerian Air Task Force (ATF), Operation Hail Storm II; has
destroyed terrorists’ camps with the killing of dozens of insurgents
in Borno.
The aerial bombardments of terrorists’ hideout camps; were conducted
September 23, 2020 on shores of Lake Chad and Sambisa Forest.
Announcing the aerial operations Friday in Maiduguri, Defense Media
Operation’s Coordinator, Maj-Gen. John Eneche disclosed; “Air Task
Force, Operation Lafiya Dole has destroyed Boko Haram Terrorists’
hideouts and neutralized several of their fighters at Bula Sabo and
Dole in various locations of state.”
According to him, the multiple attacks; were to mark the launch of a
new subsidiary Operation, tagged: Hail Storm II.
He said the air interdiction operation, is aimed at taking out
identified Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) and BHT
targets in Lake Chad region and Sambisa Forest in Borno state.
On how camps and terrorists were destroyed, he said: “The attack at
Bula Sabo, on the fringes of the forest, was executed after credible
intelligence reports,” noting that the report indicated that a group
of buildings in the settlement were being used as dwellings for Boko
Haram commanders.
Continued; “Accordingly, the Air Task Force dispatched Nigerian Air
Force (NAF) fighter jets and helicopter gunships, which scored
devastating hits on the target buildings, including a logistics
facility, which was seen engulfed in flames.
“In the same vein, Dole, located in the Yale/Kokiwa axis near Dikwa,
was also targeted,” explaining that the settlement was being used by
terrorists as their venue to plan and launch attacks against
communities in the axis.
“The NAF fighter jet; similarly engaged the location, inflicting heavy
damage on the insurgents’ structures and neutralizing several
fighters,” said Eneche yesterday.
