Rivers  Christmas Children Party promotes love and friendship says Justice Nyesom-Wike
Wife of the Rivers State Governor, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike has said that the state’s  2017 Christmas Children Party is a good way of bringing together children from privileged and less privileged backgrounds to share friendship and love.
In an interview after the Christmas Children Party held at the Government House Port Harcourt Amphitheatre on Tuesday, Justice Nyesom-Wike said that the children were invited from the families  of top government officials, motherless babies homes, remand homes, poor families  and the children of security personnel in the Government House.
She said: “It is a good way to bring children from all classes to come together.  It is a way to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
“Christmas is all about love and this is a way to show the people that Governor  Wike loves them “.
She urged the Children to love one another, saying love will ensure that they act right in all situations.
The Rivers Governor’s Wife said that it is important for people to be more collaborative and tolerant in their daily relationships for peaceful coexistence.
She expressed confidence that the next year’s Christmas Children Party will be better.
Thousands of children gathered  at the Amphitheatre of Government House Port Harcourt where they danced to music, played games and engaged in different competitions.
The Wife of the Rivers State Governor also treated them to delicious meals, barbecue and  drinks . They were entertained by comedians and other displays.
The party attracted the Deputy Governor, Dr Mrs Ipalibo Harry Banigo, Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Adam’s Iyaye-Laminkara, commissioners and  wives of top government officials .
