Seun Kuti Regains Freedom

Seun Kuti, a Grammy-nominated afrobeat performer, has been released from police custody.

On the orders of a Yaba Chief Magistrate Court, the singer was remanded at the State Criminal, Investigations, and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, for attacking a police officer in a viral video.

Omoyele Sowore, an activist, claimed on Twitter on Tuesday that the music singer had recovered his freedom.

He wrote, “Just to announce that @RealSeunKuti has been released from @PoliceNG detention in Lagos. Hasta la victoria siempre!”
