The Department of State Services (DSS) has refuted as fake the news making the rounds that the Service invaded the premises of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and effected the arrest of the governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele.

Describing the report as false, the Service’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Peter Afunanya, in a statement, made available to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), said “The attention of the Department of State Services (DSS) has been drawn to the false news making the round that its operatives invaded the Central Bank of Nigeria and arrested its Governor… This is fake news and quite misleading.”
