Lagos Commercial Drivers Begin Strike, Transport Fare Increases

Following the withdrawal of services by Commercial drivers in Lagos, transport fares have increased on different routes across the state.

Scroll Report Correspondent  gathered that few commercial buses are plying the roads.

A trip from CMS to Mile 2 which was  ₦300, now ₦600.

From Oshodi to Ikotun which was N300, it is now ₦500.

Some commuters are stranded at different bus stops as at the time of filing this report.

Scroll report recalls that The Joint Drivers Welfare Association Of Nigeria have boycotted Lagos roads for seven days to protest against extortion by officials of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management.
