Date:

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has distributed various farm inputs to 500 household farmers.

According to him, the distribution was part of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the State government livelihoods recovery projects.

The 13-year insurgency has killed about 40, 000 people with destruction of property worth $9.2 billion (N3.42 trillion) in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states.

Unveiling the distribution, yesterday (Tuesday), at Jajere town, Executive Secretary of the State’s Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Dr. Mohammed Goje, who represented the Governor, disclosed: “The farmers were targeted under the Agricultural Development Programme (ADP) through community based livelihoods restoration.”
