Zulum Supports Borno IDP Returnees With N100M, Food Items

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has supported the internally displaced person (IDP) returnees with N100 million and food items to Waraveh community in the state.

The border community with Cameroon, was severally attacked by Boko Haram, claiming many lives and property.

The returnees comprising 30, 000 IDP households were also distributed bales of clothes, including wrappers to the mammoth crowd of women.

Disbursing the stipends, yesterday (Friday) at three centres of distribution in Gwoza, he disclosed: “Each household today; is to get a bag each of rice and maize grits, while each adult male and female will respectively collect a five-year cloth and wrappers,” warning that the food items should not be sold.

He, therefore, urged the people to be resilient and security conscious by reporting suspicious persons or groups of people to the security agencies.

He noted the most important thing; was for the returnees to become resilient enough to protect themselves against any security threats.
