The Lagos State House of Assembly during Plenary on Tuesday read for the third time “A bill for a law to amend the Lagos State Public Petitions, Anti-Corruption and Transparency Commission Law, 2021.
The long title of the Law which was formerly known as Lagos State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission Law, 2021 was changed to Lagos State Public Petitions, Anti-Corruption and Transparency Commission Law, 2021 during the third reading on the floor of the House.
Subsequently, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa who was ably represented by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni during a voice vote unanimously passed the Law.
He directed the Acting Clerk of the House, Barr. Olalekan Onafeko to send a clean copy of the amended Law to Mr. Governor for his assent.
The House therefore adjourns till Thursday, 2nd June, 2022.
