ASUU To Embark On Warning Strike In Yobe

The Yobe state chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), is to commence a two-week warning strike in Damaturu. The strike starts June 8, 2021 over their unmet demands contained in the January 18, and February 18, 2021 resolutions. State Chairman of ASUU, Mohammed Saje, in a letter to the Vice Chancellor, Yobe State University (YSU), Prof. Mala Daura disclosed that; “I wish to inform you that the ASSU congress has resolved and directed its members to embark on a warning strike,” stating that the strike commences on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 if their demands are not met. He said it is in view of this that the management of YSU is formally notified of the development.
