The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) and Nigerian Army are to strategize to defeat Boko Haram terrorists hibernating in Lake Chad region and Mandara Hills. According to MNJF, the strategy will enhance military operations, including information and intelligence sharing to end the war. Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Maj-Gen. Farouk Yahaya disclosed this Wednesday, while hosting the Cameroonian Joint Military Delegation (CJMD), led by Maj-Gen. Saly Muhamadou at Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri. He said the visit of taskforce to the theatre command, in Nigeria has cemented relationship between member countries of Cameroon, Niger and Chad. Besides being members of MNJTF, it shares boundary between Nigeria and Cameroon. “It will further enhance military operations to fight the common enemy, Boko Haram insurgents. While holding the meeting yesterday, it is also found ways of improving collaborations and synergy among member countries of taskforce. General Muhamadou told The Guardian that their visit to Nigeria, was to see this great Army and learn its military professionalism and share for three days. He added that they also shared and exchange experiences on how to fight their common enemy, the Boko Haram terrorists. The Sector 1 Commander, Operation Emergency Cameroon, Bri-Gen. Buba Dobekrio said that they are in Nigerian to share information about Boko Haram threats to people’s lives and property.
