The House during Plenary on Monday, September 7, 2020 considered the report of the 7 Man Ad Hoc Committee to review its Legislative Service Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2020 in respect to the full financial autonomy granted to the State Legislatures in the country by the Presidency; therefore made amendments to the recommendations proposed by the Committee.
Please note that further deliberations on the amendments were put on hold till later date.
Therefore, the former Press Release “Lagos Assembly Passes Its Legislative Service Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2020” should be rescinded as regards the word “Passed.”
