Buni Commiserates With Borno People Over Wakil’s Death

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state; has commiserated with government and people of Borno state over the death of Dr. Babagana Wakil, the chief of staff. The 62-year old deceased, was the Chief of Staff (CoS) to Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state. Buni described Wakil’s death as a painful loss to the entire people of Borno and Yobe state. Yobe was curved out of old Borno state in 1991 by the former military President, Ibrahim Babangida. Governor’s Spokesman, Mamman Mohammed Thursday in Damaturu, disclosed: “The death of CoS, is painful to all residents of old Borno state.” According to him; “Borno and Yobe states still remain one people “every misfortune that affect one, affects the other.” He also described the deceased as a complete gentleman who lived a life of service to humanity. “Dr. Wakil was a complete gentleman, a thorough breed dedicated public officer and an accomplished administrator,” he said. Buni therefore; prayed God to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in paradise. “God will grant his family, government and the people of Borno state the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” he said
