entertainment facilities and a gymnasium for soldiers’ relaxation and
physical exercises.
While commissioning base and relaxation centre on Thursday to mark
this year’s Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) at Maimalari
Cantonment, Maiduguri; he disclosed that; “the quick reaction force
showcases our combat capabilities of fighting Boko Haram insurgency in
the theatre of war.
“It will also provide us a place for quick response with equipment to
any Boko Haram attack and criminality in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe
states.”
The decade long insurgency has also claimed over 36,000 lives with
destruction of property worth $9.2 billion (N3.312 trillion).
