A section of INEC headquarters in Abuja was reported to be on fire earlier today. The fire incident was confirmed by INEC Commissioner and Chairman of Information Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye. He however confirmed that only part of the Election Party Monitoring office was affected and staff on ground were able to put the fire under control.
He said INEC had earlier in a circular directed at all it’s offices to be on alert and vigilant against fire outbreak.
