Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar expresses his deepest condolences to the Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri over the loss of his mother, Hajiya Fatimah Umaru.
According to a statement by the Atiku Media Office, the Waziri Adamawa who had earlier spoken to Governor Fintiri over the telephone, acknowledges that every death diminishes our humanity, but that there can be no loss like that of a mother.
The former Vice President notes the role of Hajiya Umaru in shaping Governor Fintiri into who he is.
He counsels the Adamawa Governor to take solace in the fact that his mother lived a fruitful and rewarding life as a community leader and devout Muslim.
“Hajiya Fatimah Umaru was an exemplary disciplinarian. The way she brought you up is manifesting in your public service disposition. You are the legacy that she has left behind”, Atiku said.
The former Vice President prays that Allah will forgive her sins and grant her Aljannah Firdaus.
He condoles with the Fintiri family and the Adamawa State Government over the loss.
