The Governor of Bayelsa State, Honourable Henry Seriake Dickson has felicitated with Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on the occasion of his 82nd birthday anniversary.
The Governor in a press statement described the former President as a patriot and a true statesman, who means well for Nigeria and the well-being of its citizens.
According to him, Obasanjo has over the years, demonstrated an uncommon level of love and undying belief in the potentials of Nigeria as a great country in African and global affairs, stressing that, he has remained critical and relevant in his comments and criticisms of the programmes and policies of various Governments at the State and Federal levels.
Governor Dickson prayed God to grant the elder statesman long life as well as good health so that “we can continue to tap from his fountain of knowledge and experience.”
Dickson said clocking 82 years calls for celebration.
He said: “On behalf of the Government and the grateful people of Bayelsa State, I warmly felicitate with you on your 82nd Birthday Anniversary. Baba, we cannot thank you enough for all you have done for our Country and as you celebrate your new age, I join your family, friends and associates to wish you many happy returns! May God grant you many more years in good health”
