Gusau – Since the Appeal Court sitting in Sokoto nullified the election of the Abdulaziz Yari’s faction in last elections, most of the loyalists of Governor Abdulaziz Yari have been having consultations with the PDP governorship candidate, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, to consider them in his incoming government.
Investigations revealed that the loyalists of Yari are in quandary on what to do next.
According go impeccable sources very close to Matawalle, said most of the serving commissioners in Yari’s cabinet have allegedly been trooping his house to show their support for the PDP governorship candidate, believing that he would emerge the next governor of the state come May 29th 2019.
However, a legal luminary, Babangida Saidu, said the special adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, Magaji Dosara, was ignorant of the Electoral Act, saying that the Elections Petition Tribunal and the Appeal Court have different functions in law.
