BOKO HARAM INSURGENTS DEFEATED, CACHED BY HANDS -BURATAI

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai says that the Boko Haram insurgents are being defeated, as they are cached with hands in front lines of Northeast. Buratai made the declaration on Thursday, while addressing troops of 21 Armoured Brigade at Bama in Borno state. He said to sustain the defeat of Boko Haram; troops should remain loyal and patriotic to complete the twin Operations of Lafiya Dole and Last Hold (OLDLHs). According to him, insurgents cannot dislodge, displace and dislocate any of the soldiers in the frontlines of Sambisa Forest and Cameroonian borders areas. His words: “With this defeat, you’re to maintain the momentum of ending this war by not going back. “I’m satisfied with your operational performances in the front lines. Otherwise, this war you’re fighting may not have been ended, as I address you today (Thursday) in Bama to commend you all.” Asked of the morals of soldiers at the Bama parade ground, the troops unanimously responded: “very high sir!” Buratai; who designated the 21 Armoured Brigade, as a special operational force said that the troops’ uniforms and kitting allowances will be paid this year. He also inspected the completed sentry post near Bama Township and the gun boats operating on waters of Alau Dam in Konduga council.
