MY HEART REMAINS MEMORABLE FOR RELEASE 113 CHIBOK GIRLS, SAYS PRESIDENT BUHARI

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that; his heart “continues remain memorable” for the remaining 113 abducted Chibok girls still in captivity of Boko Haram insurgents in North-East sub-region of the country.
Buhari made the declaration on Saturday, while addressing parents and guardians of 279 abducted school girls by Boko Haram on April 14, 2014 in Chibok town, Borno state.
He said the scenario surrounding the abduction of the girls was regrettable, stressing that he is not comfortable with unfolding events to the release of remaining abducted girls.
The President, who was represented by Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, for borno south senatorial district, disclosed that the Federal Government has unveiled new strategies to ensure the release of the remaining kidnapped school girls.
He said that the President has urged parents of affected girls and the entire Chibok Community to exercise patience; and remain calm as all possible measures; was being put in place to turn their agonies into freedom and jubilation.
His words: “I’m here to visit my constituency to convey message from President Muhammadu Buhari, who sent me to tell you of his administration’s determination to end the insurgency threatening peaceful con-existence.
“The President has assured you that the remaining abducted Chibok girls; being held by Boko Haram are still on his mind. There were however; some lapses during the first phase of negotiation that led to the release of the other girls. Buhari also restated his commitments
to ensure the release of the remaining girls still in captivity.
“The President has equally directed me to tell you that he had wished to visit Chibok and see things for himself, but because of tight scheduled, is unable to do so.
“But he said his mind is always with all of you. He feels your pains and cries over the inability to secure the release of your daughters.”
According to Ndume, President Buhari also implored the Chibok Community to engage in massive commercial agriculture to boost their sources of livelihoods and income generations.
Chairman of the Abducted Chibok Girls Parents’ Movement for Rescue (ACG-PMR), Malam Yakubu Nkeki, expressed delight over the renewed assurance of the President to secure immediate release of the remaining 113 kidnapped girls.
He thanked the President for his endless concern, determination and display of solidarity for the rescue and release of remaining abducted girls.
“I assure you of the full support and cooperation of parents and guardians, and entire community in the ongoing counter-insurgency operations of the military,” said Nkeki.
