The beneficiaries were selected from the 44 Local Government Areas of the state and are to be trained in skills of their choice, ranging from fashion designing, interior decoration, spice and condiments, souvenir work, soap and shoe making as well as event management and decoration skills.
The training is expected to reach 2200 women in Kano, and has been held in Lagos and Katsina states so far. Aisha Buhari Foundation plans to conduct the training in all the states of the Federation
the first batch of the trainees completed their one month programme on Friday and the wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, was in Kano on Saturday o present them with certificates.
The training has so far been held in lagos and Katsina and is billed to go round all the states in the federation
