Anxiety over the true position of President Muhammadu Buhari’s health heightened following the extension of his leave. Buhari was expected to return to Nigeria this week. Rather than returning, the President extended his leave. There are mixed reactions over the extension. While some supported the President, others condemned the extension.
Kunle Ajibola an accountant said if the President is not fit to come back, there is need for the extension so that he can fully recover before coming back ” There is no point for him to come back hastily, and travel out again.”
Paul Ikechukwu, a businessman told Scroll Report that the President should come back and continue treatment in Nigeria.” The government said there will be no medical tourism for government officials.The country is suffering from it.
