Date:

Veteran Actor, Prince Jide Kosoko is hale and hearty, as against the rumour making rounds that the experienced thespian had passed. Recall that the actor postponed his 70th birthday celebration in solidarity with Nigerians passing through dire economic conditions.

Some faceless social media posts had insinuated that Kosoko died on Thursday night but an associate of the actor told TheWest Newspaper that the rumour was handiwork of jobless people who probably wanted to gain unmerited traffic

“That’s a lie from the pit of hell. Baba is alive and doing fine. In fact, he just left for an engagement this morning [Friday] shortly before your call in.

“Please disregard the idle and evil talk. Those behind it, are jobless and just wanted to trend online. They need to desist from this evil thinking and get busy” the associate who craved anonymity told TheWest newspaper.

Born in Lagos on January 12th, 1954 to the Kosoko royal family of Lagos Island, Prince Kosoko began his acting career as a child actor in 1964 in a television production titled Makanjuola and has since featured in several Nollywood movies in both English and Yoruba languages.
