It’s just a few days into the first week of Season 8 of Big Brother Naija tagged “All Stars,” and we have not been disappointed. From the selection of the present housemates to the buzz on social media, this season is turning out to be one that fans will enjoy.
In the short few days since its premiere, so much has happened. In case you missed it, here are a few highlights.
Cee cee, Alex Renew Beef
It’s no secret that Cee-C and Alex have a constant rivalry going on but we didn’t expect to see it unfold so early in the show. On Wednesday, Alex and Cee-C accused each other of being responsible for failing the ‘movie shoot’ task. Alex accused Cee-C of not fully participating in the task while Ceec accused Alex of not providing materials needed to contribute to the task since she was voted as the director for the movie shoot. This led to a war of words that grew very heated. It’s just a few days into the show and the drama has Uriel unleashes her claws.
Quiet and calm Uriel shocked Biggie and fans of the reality TV show when she dared Biggie to evict her from the house, stating that she would create a scene. During her diary session with Biggie, Uriel responded to Biggie’s question on who she thinks will get evicted by saying, “I pray it is not me because you will be needing 25 ninjas to carry me out. I will not go. I will be the first housemate in Big Brother Naija history to reject eviction. Not my portion.”
Adekunle Emerges First Head of House
Fans were amazed at Adekunle’s re-entrance into Biggie’s house, but it seems he means business. This is evident in his emergence as the very first Head of House, to the amazement of fans. He is now guaranteed a place in Biggie’s house for one more week. He also selected four BFFs (friends for the week). He chose Cross, Seyi, Frodd, and Soma, who will have unrestricted access to the HoH lounge, bedroom, and gym, and are allowed to sleep there. Since they are also restricted from sharing anything with others, just fellow BFFs, we may start seeing some bad blood, and we can’t wait for the drama to unfold.
Lambo’s Immunity
Another housemate guaranteed another week’s stay in Biggie’s house is Mercy Eke. Popularly called Lambo, Mercy won immunity during the hide-and-seek game held on Monday. Of the two envelopes hidden by Biggie, Mercy found the immunity envelope which guaranteed her immunity from eviction.
Diary Room Secrets.
The first diary session was quite revealing and hinted at possible alliances and would-be frenemies. Uriel expressed surprise at the selection of Whitemoney and Mercy as housemates, alluding to the fact that they claim to have a huge financial portfolio.
Doyin said the presence of Frodd and Tolanibaj came as the biggest surprise. Tolanibajaj, in turn, confessed that she was surprised by the reentry of Kiddwaya and Neoenergy. Ike also stated that he never envisioned Venita returning to Biggieverse.
Cee-C, known for her unpredictable nature, made it clear that she entered the House without any preconceived expectations about her fellow housemates.
