Chairman of the Yobe State council, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Rajab Ismail has congratulated Governor Mai Mala Buni and his Deputy, Idi Gubana for inaugurating them to serve the people for the second term.
According to him, Buni’s re-election was not a surprise, because the completed projects in the first term; have raised people’s living conditions.
Ismail made the commendations, yesterday (Tuesday), in Damaturu, while responding to the re-election and swearing in of Governor to serve for the next four years.
“You’ve relentlessly pursued infrastructural development programmes that raised the living conditions of the people,” he said.
He added that Damaturu, the State capital had a facelift of becoming a modern city with infrastructural facilities, financial and market institutions.
Continued; “The plights of the less privileged, were also addressed by the recent distribution of 2, 150 empowerment materials to 1, 150 widows and vulnerable persons.”
He noted that the achievements recorded during the first tenure will be replicated during the second term of service.
Ismail, therefore, pray for more wisdom, knowledge and ability in providing the dividends of democracy to the people.
