BUNI PLEDGES GOOD GOVERNANCE, OTHERS TO SUSTAIN DEMOCRACY DIVIDENDS

Governor Mai Mala Buni has pledged good governance and accountability to sustain the dividends of democracy to people.

According to him, the sustenance of dividends be ensured by providing an enabling environment for local and foreign investors.

Buni made the pledges, yesterday (Monday), while the Chief Judge, Justice Gumna Kaigama, swears him for the second term in office in Damaturu, the state capital.

His words: “We’re determined to enhance our performances by initiating legal and institutional reforms to promote good governance, enabling environment and accountability to the people.”

He said that this will promote investments with the ease of doing business in any part of the State.

Besides accountability to the people, he added: “We shall adopt and promote the reconciliation system of resolving various disputes in communities.”

While thanking the people for renewed mandate, he said: “I extend hands of fellowship to all and sundry to join us in the task of building our dear State.

“It is a duty, we must discharge with dignity and honour to make the state peaceful with economic prosperity, irrespective political and ethnic differences.”

He, therefore, congratulated President Bola Tinubu and Vice President, Kashim Shettima for their mandates, as the 16th leaders of the country.

Buni also listed the achievements recorded in the education, health, agriculture, housing, water and infrastructural facilities sectors of the economy.
