The former Northeast Secretary of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Dr. Babayo Liman has defected to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Unveiling the pitching of tent with opposition party, yesterday (Monday) at a press conference in Maiduguri, Borno state, Dr. Liman disclosed: “My defection along with many former supporters of NNPP, was due to the inability of the national leader of party, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso to manage the affairs of the party efficiently.

According to him, Sen. Kwankwaso could not manage the daily affairs of the party in any of the six geo-political zones, including Kano state, where he served as the Governor and Senator for about 12 years.
