The family of Oluwabamise Ayanwola has held a Service of Songs for the late fashion designer who was reportedly killed by a Lagos State BRT driver in March, 2022.
The Service of Songs was held in Deeper Life Church on Wednesday, 14 December, 2022.
Bamise was reported to have gone missing on Saturday, February 26, 2022, after boarding a BRT bus from Chevron Bus Stop, Lekki, to Oshodi around 7 pm.
When she felt uncomfortable in the vehicle due to the conduct of the driver, Bamise reportedly sent distress messages to her friends.
She was said to have sent the vehicle details to them in case anything happened to her and also asked them to pray for her.
The Lagos Bus Rapid Transit System, better known as BRT is a transportation system regulated by Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) and operated by Primero Transport Services Limited.
However, reports on social media stated the 22-year-old lady has been found dead with her body parts missing.
In a video that circulated on social media, Bamise’s mother identified the number plate of the BRT bus her daughter boarded among the buses parked at one of the BRT stations in the state.
The old woman cried out and called on the state government to help find her daughter.
However, the 22-year-old lady found dead with her body parts allegedly missing.
The BRT driver, Andrew Ominnikoron was arraigned on a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, murder and rape.
The case is still in court, nine months after the trial began.
