Super Falcons, other African Representatives know their 2023 Australia Women’s World Cup opponents.

The nine- time African Champions, the Super Falcons of Nigeria has been drawn in Group B for the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
According to the draws held last Saturday October 22, the Randy Waldrum’s tutored side will face host Australia, Canada and Republic of Ireland.
Reviewing their chances if qualifying from the group which is seen as fair, Maureen Madu, former Super Falcons coach said, though on paper, the group is not very tough, but there were no minnows again in football. Although she expressed optimism that Super Falcons of Nigeria has a bright chance of qualifying from the group, but advised them to take their opponents seriously.
Similarly, Christopher Danjuma, also former coach of Falcons said Super Falcons qualified from the group stage in the last World Cup, stressing that it is the desire of any team not only to qualify from the group stage but improve from last performance. He expressed confidence that with the addition of fresh legs, the chances of Falcons qualifying from their group is very bright.
Football analysts are already predicting Nigeria and Canada to qualify from their group at the expense of host Australia and Republic of Ireland.
The three other African representatives, South Africa, Zambia and Morocco are in relatively tough groups.
While Morocco is group in group H, will battle with Germany, one of the favourites, Colombia and South Korea, Zambia in group C, will have Spain, Costa Rica and Japan to contend with.
South Africa which is going to the World Cup tournament as African Champions have their hands full in a tough group A.
The female Bayana Bayana, will slug it at the forthcoming Women’s World Cup Italy, Sweden and Argentina in what is regarded as a ‘ Group of death.
The Women’s World Cup which has a total of 32 countries from six Confederations are group in eight groups of A- H.
The tournament will hold in Australia from July 20 to August 20, 2023
