The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists have attacked the Boko Haram insurgents in Gajibo camp, killing six of them in Borno state.
Gajibo, a border community with Cameroon, continued to remain the terrorists’ main hideout along the Dikwa-Gambouru road.
A counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, stated yesterday, (Monday) in Maiduguri that; last Sunday’s attack appeared to be a sustained inter-rivalry clash between the two terrors groups in the Northeast.
According to him, ISWAP in a silent operation stormed the home of Boko Haram terrorist in Gajibo, 95 kilometres east of Maiduguri.
ISWAP, also declared that the Boko Haram terrorists are infidels, after slitting their throats in the early hours of Monday.
Besides, he added that the terrorists seized five AK-47 rifles from the Boko Haram fighters.
“The incessant clashes between the two terrors groups led to huge casualties,” he said, stating that there were loss of Boko Haram weapons and other war assets in Sambisa Forest and the Lake Chad region.
According to him, the sustained rivalry may lead to irreversible self-destruction as the revolting ISWAP had vowed to continue clash with the Boko Haram terrorists in the region.
“ISWAP vowed to battle more with members of its former main body than even with the Nigerian troops,” said Makama.
