Army Neutralize Two Dozen Boko Haram Terrorists in Borno

Troops of 21 Armoured Brigade, Bama, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have neutralized over a dozen Boko Haram terrorists in the Kumshe-Banki axis of Borno state.

The insurgents were killed, on a Tuesday failed ambush along the 54-kilometre Bama-Banki road.

A counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, confirmed yesterday (Tuesday), in Maiduguri that; “The troops’ patrol operations along the road; however paid off by killing about two dozens of terrorists.

On the foiled ambush, he said: “The terrorists detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and followed with continuous gun shots,” adding that the gallant soldiers responded by repelling the insurgents to flee with gunshot wounds.

He however; noted that the troops did not incur much casualties, as a few soldiers sustained wounds with the destruction of a military patrol vehicle.
