A prominent socio- political support group for Pastor Umo Eno, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, National Value Intact/ Dynamic Mothers Initiative has begun grassroot mobilization and sensitization of people for the PDP candidacy ahead of the kick-off of of the party campaign.
Stella Imoh, the promoter and National President of the twin organisation revealed this.
She said her group which throng the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium Uyo in large numbers during the flag off of PDP Presidential Campaign, has already hit the ground running in mobilization and sensitization of market women, widows, young girls of voting age and youths on the need to vote Pastor Umo Eno in the coming election. She said in doing this, she has drum into them why they should make that choice based on the pedigree and disposition of the PDP candidate to take their interest to consideration.
Stella stressed that given the current strength of her group especially Dynamic Mothers Initiative populated by women which she puts the number at not less than 10,000 women in each of the Local Government Areas of the state, she is already mobilising them through the different levels of coordinators.
It could be recalled that prior to the PDP Presidential Campaign flag off Stella has facilitated the Inauguration of State executives and Local Government Coordinators to run its affairs from the wards to the state to ease the objective deploying potential voters to vote Umo Eno.
Before then, during the last concluded voters registration exercise Stella Imoh disclosed that shechas on her own accord and resources embarked on a house to house and market to market sensitization campaign across the local governments of the state for market women, widows and young girls of voting age to go and register to enable them perform their civic duties of voting during the elections with emphasy on voting the PDP candidate in particular and other candidates including Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in general.
According to her, her socio- political support group for Umo Eno has fulfilled all the necessary registration requirements having registered both at the State PDP and Maintain Peace Movement ( MPM), the umbrella campaign body of the PDP gubernatorial candidate.
Beyond being a socio- political support group for Eno, Stella has used it to empower many people like the widows,young girls and students, a gesture she says is her way of giving back to the society for God’s faithfulness to her, having come from a poor and humble background to become one that can now pay house rent for people, give people seed money to start business and school fees for students in tertiary institutions.
She further said her determination to work whole heartedly for the PDP governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom with her little resources was borne out of his pedigree which surpassed all others. She names those characteristics in Umo Eno that endeared her to support him to include his humility, entrepreneurial prowess, coming from a humble background and being a God fearing man. A disposition she is convinced is what Akwa Ibom people need to sustain the relative peace currently enjoyed in the state under Governor Udom Emmanuel government.
Pastor Stella Imoh, a graduate of Physics from the University of Uyo is a woman of many parts.
A philanthropist, politician, clergy, counsellor, entrepreneur, grassroot mobiliser and women emancipation advocate.
She reiterated the fact that through her twin socio- political and empowerment organisation, National Value Intact made up of men, ladies and youths and Dynamic Mothers Initiative made up of only women, she has assisted many widows, market women, boys and girls, needy Mothers, the elderly and the indigent students.
She emphasised that being a resolute and focus person who has never failed in her set objective she will play her own significant part to see that Pastor Umo Eno becomes the next governor of Akwa Ibom State.
