Zulum Presents 20 Nominee Commissioners To Borno Assembly

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state has presented 20 nominee commissioners to the State House of Assembly for its approvals.

 

The 20-member State Executive Council (SEC) was dissolved last month and during the recent All Progressive Congress (APC) State congresses and primaries for 2023 polls.

 

Presenting the nominee commissioners, yesterday (Tuesday) in Maiduguri at the State House of Assembly, the Governor disclosed that; “Most of the ex-commissioners are among the nominees Assembly’s screening and approvals this week.”

 

The submitted list of nominee commissioners comprises three new nominees to the Assembly.

They include Prof. Mohammed Arabi, Pogu Lawan Chibok and Ali Bunu Mustapha.

 

In ensuring continuity in governance and consolidate on the dividends of democracy, 17 ex-commissioners were included in the presented nominees for approvals.

 

They include Mustapha Gubio, Adamu Lawan, Yerima Saleh, Lawan Wakilbe, Kaka Shehu Lawan, Abacha Ngala, Isa Haladu and Sugum Mele.

 

The commissioner nominees served in the Ministries of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (RRR), Finance, Works, Education, Justice and Local Government and Emirate Affairs respectively.

 

Other nominee ex-commissioners for approvals comprise Zuwaira Gambo, Tijjani Goni, Babagana Malumbe, Yerima Kareto, Saina Buba and Yuguda Saleh.

The former commissioners for the Ministries of Environment, Transport and Information, Buba Walama, Abubakar Tijjani and Babakura Abba Jato were respectively re-nominated for the new state executive council.
