Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has dissolved a 22-member State Executive Council (SEC) over All Progressive Congress (APC) forthcoming primaries for the 2023 general elections.
The commissioners were also directed to handover to their respective Permanent Secretaries of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the state. Permanent Secretary, administration and general services, Danjuma Ali, disclosed that the dissolution of the cabinet was enable the commissioners to participate in the APC forthcoming primaries and congresses.
According to him, the cabinet dissolution was to create an enabling environment for the ex-commissioners to contest various elections in 2023. “I wish all of you the best of luck in your future endeavours,” he said.The Governor, therefore, expressed his deepest appreciation to members of the executive council for their respective contributions.
