The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Kashere, Prof. Umaru Pate has said that the COVID-19 pandemic profoundly affected every human endeavour globally. According to him, the two-year pandemic has made the society tense and insecure with lots of challenges in communities. Pate raised the alarm Friday at a two-day media dialogue on demand creation for COVID-19 vaccines at Tahir Guest Palace, Kano. “The situation is heightened by uncertainties with boundless flow of information that led to ethno-religious tensions in the country,” he lamented; as well as the general decline in standards and values in the nation. He said this is to allay fears of the anarchists about the safety of the COVID-19 vaccines.
Continuing, he added: “One can get the COVID-19 infection from the vaccines of covid-19 infection, but cannot be transmitted from the vaccine,” explaining that none of the authorised vaccines are capable of producing the virus.
