This is to inform the general public that AIG Bello Makwashi has officially taken over the mantle of leadership as the 2nd Assistant Inspector-General of Police in-charge of Zone 15 Police Command. AIG Bello Makwashi who hails from Zamfara State is a seasoned Police Officer who has demonstrated operational deftness and administrative acumen in past positions held. He is the immediate past Commissioner of Police Borno State Command.
AIG Bello has a vast knowledge of the job having also served as the Commissioner of Police in-charge of Airport Command, Commissioner of Police Gombe State Command, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Department of Operations in Ogun State Command and Zone 9, Umauhia. He was also the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Second-in Command) IGP’s monitoring Unit,Force Headquarters as well as the Deputy Commissioner of Police Investment, Force Headquarters, Abuja. Other positions previously held by the AIG include Area Commander Port Harcourt Area Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police Welfare Department Force Headquarters, Abuja, AssistantCommissioner of Police Department of Operations in Borno, FCT and Jigawa Commands.
Down the ladder, he had previously served as the Divisional Police officer Isheri and Iponri Divisions in Lagos Command; Abraka and ‘B’ Division Asabain Delta State Command; as well as in KatakoDivision in Jos, Plateau State Command. He equally served in the Ports Investigation and Intelligence Bureau, Apapa, Lagos and as Chairman Petroleum Monitoring and Distribution, Plateau State. AIG Bello Makwashi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Science from the prestigious UsmanDan Fodio University Sokoto. He has attended several courses on Strategic Management and Leadership, both within and outside the Country. The AIG hereby solicits the maximum support and cooperation of the general public in both Borno and Yobe States as he sets out to oversee a return of peace and stability to the Zone.
