Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State is committed to the provision of basic infrastructural facilities and social amenities to improve living conditions of people. According to him, the completed basic facilities and other social amenities are in the health, roads, education and agricultural sectors of the economy.
Buni made the pledges Monday in Damaturu, while hosting top government officials, politicians and stakeholders at a Walima Sallah lunch to mark Eid-el-Kabir at Government House, Damaturu. He said that his administration consider the welfare of people, particularly workers’ welfare by regular payments of their salaries and allowances. The Governor, who was represented by his deputy, Idi Barde Gubana disclosed: “The payments of July salary on the 16, 2021 was an invaluable gesture to enable workers enjoy the Sallah festivities with their families.” He therefore expressed gratitude to God for a peaceful Sallah celebration across the state. “Buni has extended his greetings to all citizens from Saudi Arabia where he is performing his Hajj and prayed for the state and the country at large,” he said. He added that the people should intensify their prayers for a bumper harvest this year.
