Minister Pledges Road Projects To Governor In Yobe

The Minister of State for Works, Engr. Abubakar Aliyu has pledged the sitting and execution of road projects in Yobe. Aliyu made the pledges on Monday, when he visited Governor Mai Mala Buni in Abuja. According to him; “We discussed the state of Federal roads in Yobe state.” He noted that the visit was to explore more partnership with the state government to attract more federal presence in the roads sector. His words: “I am here to discuss with His Excellency the Governor, on the state of federal roads.” “As an ambassador of the state in the Federal Executive Council (FEC), this is a home coming. It is in furtherance to our collective drive to strengthen the synergy between the state and the federal governments. While responding to Aliyu, Buni said: “I commended the Minister for his determination towards complementing the efforts of the state government,” noting that the state of roads could be improved through the rebuild and rehabilitation of dilapidated roads. While speaking on road intervention, he said: “The Minister’s is towards collective responsibility to discuss areas of intervention to enhance infrastructural facility development.
