Boko Haram terrorists in gun trucks and motorcycles attacked the Yobe community torching a health centre and school in the early hours of Tuesday. The insurgents burst from the south flank of Sambisa Forest, before setting the public structures ablaze. Confirming the incident Tuesday in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital, Modu Kura, a resident disclosed: “The insurgents storm our community by 5.30am, as we were going to mosque to pray,” adding that the terrorists set ablaze the primary school and a community health centre. The level of casualties is yet to be ascertained, as at the time of filing this report. Efforts to contact the acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Sector 2, Operation Taikaibango; Lt. Kennedy Anyanwu ;however proved abortive. Katarko, is 25 kilometres south of Damaturu, and had been severally attacked by insurgents.
