According to him, at Musuri, troops encountered elements of the terrorists group and swiftly engaged them with superior firepower. “This ultimately led them to dominate the area after neutralizing 41 of the terrorists,” he said, adding that sophisticated weapons were also recovered. He noted that the recovered cache of arms and ammunition include 12 AK-47 rifles and eight FN rifles. “Six bicycles, a motorcycle, tool boxes, a sewing machine and large quantity of batteries used in making Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs),” he said, adding that sex enhancement drugs were also recovered among other recoveries. On soldiers’ morale, he said: “Troops are in high fighting spirit and determined as ever to clear the entire region and nation of fleeing Boko Haram remnants. The Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, also congratulated the gallant troops while urging them to keep up the tempo in ending the war.
