REMAIN COMMITTED AS YOU PERFORM YOUR DUTY-CP tells officers

Date:

The Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Police Command, CP Salami Amidu Bolaji says officers and men of Ondo Police Command should remain loyal and committed to their primary assignment of protecting lives and property.

CP Salami said the event of EndSARS and its effect on the Command should be put behind, knowing it is one of the hazards we must go through to protect the State and its citizens.

He further said we should not see the EndSARS humiliation, torture and death as a visitation from the devil on the Nigeria Police Force but a wake-up call that our duty is sacrosanct and should therefore occupy the best of our heart and time.

CP Bolaji said it is abundantly clear that those criminals who hijacked the peaceful EndSARS protest were afraid of their myopic little world of crime and our tenacity at confronting them; and so decided to work under the umbrella of a peaceful protest to lash out their vengeance on the Police, but this should not deter our effort at providing quality security to the public space.

“It will be foolhardy for any one of us as a Police officer to allow the rating in the public space that we are afraid  and have withdrawn our services from citizens. It is for this reason that I am telling every officer in the Command to return fully to his duty post, more active, more tolerant and more professional than he was, so that this negative rating will fall precipitously before those who made it”.

CP Salami Amidu Bolaji also said it is not enough anymore to stay away from our core mandate, if we do, it shows that the death of our colleagues in the hands of those criminals during the EndSARS saga would be in vain.

Let us therefore show the rest of us that we love this country passionately and we are committed to serving it.
