Zulum To Dualise Customs/Muna Road At N5 billion In Borno

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state, has ordered an immediate
construction of the Maiduguri metropolis Customs /Muna road.

According to him, the completion of 10-kiolmetre dualised road, will
be main gateway to neighbouring countries of Cameroon, Chad and
Central African Republic.

Zulum disclosed this Monday, while inspecting the N4.3 billion CGC
Nigeria Limited first Flyover Bridge in northeast at Customs
Roundabout. Maiduguri.

“Let me use this opportunity to announce that; the dualization of this
road project, begins in two weeks at cost of N5 billion,” he said.

He added that its completion; will connect the flyover bridge to ease
free-flow of traffic within the metropolis and border routes to Chad,
Cameroon and CAR.

Besides, he said the Customs/Muna road will also serve four
institutions, including Lake Chad Basin Development Authority (CBDA)
and research institute.

While commending the constructor at site, he said the terms of
contract, be met, including its completion by June, 2021.
