ADAF, Mother Cat Win N5.75B Roads, Market Projects In Yobe

The ADAF BML Nigeria Limited and Mother Cat; have won the construction
of N3.78 billion Nguru township roads and market in Yobe.

The twin contractors; are to complete roads and modern market projects
in 12 months.
The 16-km Nguru/Balanguwa rural road, was also awarded to Messrs Faris
at N1.973 billion and completed within a year.

While laying foundation stone of market Monday in Nguru, Governor Mai
Mala Buni disclosed that the roads and market are to be completed by
contractors in 12 months.

Buni has also performed similar event in Gashua and Damaturu, the
state capital, as well as
Multi-million naira Trailer Transit Park at Potiskum.

According to him, the state government is committed towards boosting
infrastructural facilities and local economy across the state.

“The completion of markets and roads in major towns across the state,
could ginger economic activities with increased internally generated
revenue (IGR),” he said.

He said the significance of occasion underscores commitment of his
administration towards boosting commerce and trade to enhance state
economy.

He added that one of the areas that can bring about rapid economic
growth and development, is the provision of basic infrastructural
facilities.

He explained that the completion of roads and markets could enable
people pursue their legitimate goals and means of livelihoods.

According to him, the new market will attract more traders to Nguru
from outside that state.

“This completion of these projects will impact positively on state
economy in the long run,” he said.
He added that the new market will also create employment
opportunities, create positive impacts on people to promote economic
self-reliance.
He also called on contractors to meet the terms of contracts on
specifications of roads and market projects.

Buni also flagged off the construction of 16-kilometer Nguru/Bulanguwa
with 6.4 kilometres of drainages.
