Police warn candidates over graft, COVID-19 protocols in Borno

The Borno Police Command; has yesterday warned candidates against
graft and violations of coronavirus (COVID-19) protocols.
The Police gave the warnings at the weekend, while Police
Commissioner, Mohammed Aliyu was addressing candidates for police
constables during the exercise in Maiduguri, the state capital.
He said: “I advised you to be of good conduct by cooperating with the
police recruitment team.
“You should also observe COVID-19 protocols, during the recruitment
exercise into the police,” warning that no graft will be tolerated
during the recruitment exercise.
He therefore, urged them to report to him any Police Officer
or civilian demanding gratification in exchange for any help/services.

He said the screening exercise of candidates from six Local Government
Areas has been successful completed.

Askira/Uba council, has the highest number of candidates with 1,292,
while Abadam, and has the least of 66 candidates.

“We’ve so far screened 3,243 candidates since last Monday,” he said.
