Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state; has pledged an interest-free
loans to Igbo Community automotive spare parts dealers in Maiduguri
metropolis.
According to him, the spare parts loans were to encourage traders in
various businesses in boosting the state’s economy.
Zulum made the pledges Tuesday in Maiduguri; while inspecting
completed road to the spare parts dealers’ market, known as Bola
(refuse).
While extolling traders for their resilience, he said: “The spare part
dealers, were very courageous for not fleeing, despite the decade long
Boko Haram insurgency in the state.
“They continued to remain with their businesses, in spite of
insecurity challenges posed by insurgents since July, 2009,” noting
that the road into the market, was built to overcome difficulties
faced by traders and customers.
He also trekked for 30 minutes in the market, assuring traders that;
“This administration will soon come up with financial support to boost
your trading in spare parts,” adding that the Igbo Communities, are
brothers and sisters doing their legitimate businesses in Maiduguri.
