The Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Police Command, CP Salami Amidu Bolaji says Muslim faithful across Ondo State should make this year’s Eid-Kabir celebration a crime-free one.
CP Salami made the call as he wished Muslim faithful in Ondo State a peaceful celebration of this year’s Eid-Kabir.
According to him, it is his conviction that a good ceremony happens only when there is peace and tranquillity in a society; and this could only take place when we stay out of crime.
He therefore urges all Muslim faithful in Ondo State and their friends across other religious divides to shun all acts inimical to the tenets and teachings of Islam, saying, Ondo Police Command under his supervision would not wait to see any crime or sacrilege, especially during this period without dealing with it in accordance with the dictate of the laws of the land.
“I have never seen or heard in all the days of my life where any religion celebration grants a license to crime for its sake and I am certain this year’s Eid-Kabir would not permit that too”
Happy Eid-Kabir, stay safe, stay out of crime.
