On 05/06/2020, based on a distress call from the Police Control Room regarding the kidnapping of the above-mentioned persons at the early hours of the morning, operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) swung into action, stormed the Ikpaoha forest between Okigwe/Ideato LGAs(imo state) and engaged the hoodlums in a gun duel. Consequently, the hoodlums fled with gunshot wounds and the victims were rescued unhurt. The victims have been reunited with their families while investigation is ongoing
